Are you struggling with…

FEELING BLUE ABOUT WORK, CAREER PLANNING AND THE ECONOMY?

CAREER DECISIONS

JOB-SEEKING SKILLS AND MOTIVATION

DECISIONS ABOUT GOING BACK FOR SOME TRAINING

In this global economy, career transitions are more frequent and rapid, and the era of working for one employer in one career has ended.  Therefore, adults must take extra steps to succeed in this work environment---that previous generations did not.

Career development takes effort, focus, and knowledge about new career tools for exploring job or college options. In order to choose a well-matched career you need to actively explore and know your "self"--values, beliefs, and interests. You need efficient creative and critical thinking to succeed in this economy. It is important to learn how to bring out your strengths and invest in your limitations through training and experience.

We offer career counseling using whole person perspective--life history, health and academic information, and self knowledge. This process may include career testing and/or homework exercises devoted to self knowledge (values, strengths, limits), communication skills (listening, assertiveness), creative and critical thinking skills, self esteem and problem-solving workplace communication issues.

We also offer skill development support in career-related areas such as resume development, job interview skill development using role play and videotaping, job search skill development--review of new job search tools, networking skills and informational interviews.

We connect work and life with your passion!
