Dr. Kathleen Hoyt, Ph.D. is a Career Consultant, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Psychology instructor and researcher at the University of Oregon-Bend. She has 15 years of experience in counseling children, teens, and adults, five years in career counseling/advising, and has been in private practice in Bend since 1997. She has taught at the university level for 26 years, been a researcher/consultant for 33 years, and enjoys learning and sharing information with others to solve applied problems.
In addition--perhaps more importantly--in my lifespan I have experienced many of the issues that clients are experiencing--I have been confused about what I should do next for a job or career, been unemployed and felt its despair, experienced anxiety about the future and finances, struggled with whether to work on my own or for an employer, worked in difficult dysfunctional work environments, returned to work after having a child, and have squirmed my way through a significant midlife career transition as the fire in my heart became more clear. I am willing to “walk” in your shoes for a time and I am excited to help you find your HeartFire!
